Life Church exists to lead people in the East Bay area into a growing relationship and life with Jesus. It is a church that creates a community for all people to connect in this journey together. A place to discover and experience the life God has for us, become who we were created to be, and share His love (and that life) with others everywhere.

STRATEGY

We believe God has uniquely called Life Church here to make a difference in our community, nation and world. We want to create a culture of caring, loving, serving and giving. We are on a mission to “Make Jesus Real.” Knowing Jesus isn’t about rules or religion, it is about a relationship that we can experience. No matter where you are currently in that relationship–if you have no relationship with Jesus or if you have been a Christian all your life–we want to provide an environment for you move forward in the journey of growing in relationship with Jesus. Programs and structure only help to facilitate this relationship. They are not the focus but the vehicle we use to accomplish our purpose. Life Church will be a dynamic church – which means it will be about effective action, willing to change and adjust as needed. If something isn’t working–we will try it a different way. Though our methods may change our message will not. The core of our strategy is based on living L.I.F.E. to the fullest:

Love. – We are called to love God and love people. We will show how real Jesus is by love. Through our worship services and our lives we will express our love to God. To truly love people will mean we want to share what has happened in our lives with all those around us both practically and spiritually.

Involvement – We believe God has saved us to do more than warm a chair on Sundays. When he created us he also gifted us to serve Him and His Kingdom. We become who we are meant to be by using our gifts. Some of those are within the church others will be through the church and within the community or beyond. But each one has something to offer and a place to belong. Every member is a minister and a missionary. We can be involved by using our time, talents, and treasure to bless God and His Church.

Fellowship – Through life groups, you are able to connect relationally to others in the church. Life groups are designed as opportunities to meet others and invite people to come along with you on the journey. Some will have prayer, Bible study and food. Others will gather for fun and fellowship. Our philosophy is that we are not just inviting people to church but into our lives.

Equipping – In the journey of knowing God we are being equipped to fulfill the destiny God has for us. There is a dream waiting to be fulfilled in your life. Through the teaching, study, and most importantly, the application of God’s Word to our lives we are being prepared to fulfill this destiny. We want to help release those dream. We are also committed to training and releasing emerging leaders who will make an impact in their world.

VALUES:

Obviously when you talk about your values you speak about what are a priority to you and those things that will guide and shape the way you do things. Some things go without saying that are vales to you, but let me identify a few – loving God, the Bible, Prayer, passionate Worship, serving people spiritually and practically. In addition to these, following is a list of other values that will guide us, define who we are and what we are about:

People – Church is not about a building, programs, or a budget. It is about touching people with the life giving message of Jesus. Not only a message we say but a life we live with a love that shows.

Generations – Jesus came for all people and from the beginning God established the family. We have a conviction that we must effectively minister to all ages children, youth, young adult, adults, and seniors.

Training children – Life church is committed to educate and train children not only in the church but also through a Christian school – King’s Valley Christian School
Members as Ministers – Everyone has something special in them to share with those around them.

Multi-Cultural – We believe no matter what your ethnic background you have a place in the Kingdom of God and at Life Church. The church should reflect your community and Heaven (Rev. 5)

Excellence – Everything we do represents God and should be done to the best of our ability. If it is worth doing its worth doing right.

Spirit empowered living – We believe the Holy Spirit is active in our lives to produce a victorious life, to bear fruit and produce His gifts and power. We believe not only in the message of the Gospel but the power of the Gospel.

Multiplication – Churches are meant to grow. We value a growing, reproducing, planting church that is a model to a movement.

Giving – God’s nature is to give and we believe giving of our time, talent and treasure causes the church to grow and the Kingdom of God to expand.

Relationship – God established his church with people so they could walk in unity together. We grow best when we are connected to others.

Relevance – Though God is the same yesterday today and forever, how we reveal Him to others needs to change. Our message is the same but our methods are not. Church should be a life-giving place that doesn’t bore you but rather inspires you to grow.
